Good blog writing is an art, it requires attention to detail, good grammar, good punctuation, correct spelling and great content. So what is the single biggest mistake a blogger can make when writing a blog post that is supposed to be optimized for search engines?

Basically it is to sacrifice any of these requirements in order to use what they think are high paying, low competition and high inquiry keywords or keyword phrases that simply do not fit into the content of their post under the misconception that they believe this is a good website search optimization strategy.

The flaw in focusing on keywords of this type rather than content is that the search engine operators actually look for and value good content i.e. the content that flows nicely, has correct spelling, good punctuation etc.

They do not value nonsensical paragraphs that are clearly written to attract search engine attention rather than to meet the requirements of visitors to the website that have arrived there for a specific purpose, to find great content and information on their topic of choice.

You only have to think about what happens when someone arrives on your website and either cannot make sense of what you have written or, equally as important, cannot find the information they are looking for. They simply leave again and go and look for a different website or blog that does provide the information they want in a format they enjoy and in a place they can find it.

The term for what I am discussing is the bounce rate, the time a visitor spends on your website and how many pages they visit. If they only look at the first page or leave almost as soon as they arrive then you will register a high bounce rate, 100% basically says that they have not found what they came for and left immediately, a more acceptable level is 50%, but should be lower if possible, and that should be the minimum target any webmaster or blogger aspires to achieve.

Writing your blogs or websites with the objective of providing useful information that is well written and with appropriate keywords that describe the actual content of your site will result in far better search engine optimization than selecting keywords that are inappropriate or cannot be converted into sensible paragraphs of written text that can be understood and enjoyed by your visitors.

If you do your keyword research thoroughly and with this view in mind there is a high probability that you will find keywords that are high paying, low competition, with sufficient numbers of inquiries and that do fit with your content in a sensible and coherent fashion. The extra effort required to do this will ultimately reward you with the associated benefit of creating more traffic who in turn become loyal visitors that come back to revisit your site and are likely to recommend to others.

There are so many ways on how you can promote your website and yourself in the online arena today. You can use Pay per Click advertising, social media marketing, forum posting, search engine marketing, banner ads, blog marketing, etc. But if you want something that will give you great, long-lasting benefits, I highly recommend SEO article writing. This is the process of writing informative articles that are search engine-friendly.

STEP ONE

The topic and the direction

The first thing you’ll have to do is to decide on the topic you want to write about…forget about the title. Titles are usually given when the entire article is complete. Reason? Well, you’ll discover that the gist of the article, the flow and the content is not always the way you first intended for it to be. At the end of it, you’ll find a title that is right for your SEO article. So, don’t spend hours mulling over the title. Just get to it and write it.

STEP TWO

Writing it

I’ve heard of people spending hours writing a single article because they want to make it perfect the first time round. No, no, no, no….that’s not it. Remember, articles (especially books!) are never perfect the first time round. Accept this and you’ll soon be writing tons of good stuff in the future! Just get to it and write it. You can forget about grammar and the flow. Just write it, ok?

STEP THREE

Keyword placing

Once you’ve completed your article, it’s time to get to putting in the keywords that you want to put into the SEO article. At this point, don’t worry about grammar and flow. You’ll get to it soon enough…just don’t worry about it yet! One word of advice, don’t have too many keywords in one SEO article. Just one or two would be just nice. Start placing them into strategic places and in between sentences…but make sure they still make sense. The worst thing you can do is to piss your potential customers off, ok?

Example:

Writing articles for search engine is good for your business.

“Writing SEO articles for search engines is good for your business”

STEP FOUR

Editing and proofing

OK, here’s where you get to correct all grammatical mistakes, insert more stuff that you think is relevant to your SEO article or remove stuff that you think is not suitable for your SEO article. Go through everything carefully…but remember, this is not the only time you’re going to be proofing your article because….

STEP FIVE

Re-editing

Yes, you need to re-edit and proofread them again the second time. To ensure that everything is completely correct, you can read them more than just twice or maybe even read the article backwards to ensure that all words are correctly spelt in your SEO article.

There are varied options available to promote the website and optimize the search engine. Out of the numerous choices of SEO products, it becomes very difficult to arrive at a conclusion as to which SEO product to go in for. Each of the SEO products claims to bring your website at the top by increasing the amount of traffic

Here are 5 of the best reasons why you should use SEO products in promoting your online business:

1. User Satisfaction – Once you have valuable information, you can attract more customers to visit your site. SEO products also allow individuals to easily locate your website or even blog by using the relevant keywords and keyword phrases.

2. Site Function Improvement – If you do not know this, it also categorizes specific products according to its kind – whether they are cosmetics sites, game sites, marketing sites etc. Using SEO products to promote your online business can really benefit your site to increase its popularity and sales if any.

3. Marketing Effectiveness – Using SEO strategies can improve your marketing efforts and eliminate wasted time. This is done by monitoring your site’s search engine page ranking based on the keywords being used. Once you have higher page ranking, you will be able to attract visitors easier and increase your site’s marketing ability.

4. Relevance Of Your business – Using good quality content plus these strategies can appeal your business to potential prospects and help you identify your niche markets for your business. In other words, SEO products can promote your business more accurately.

5. To Keep Track Of Your Traffic – Aside from marketing and accuracy of your online business, these products also help you to keep track of your web traffic. These days we have what is known as Web analytics which helps you track your site’s search engine ranking and marketing potential. Without this tool, you will find hard it difficult to gauge your website’s true potential.

It is important to increase your site’s search engine page rankings and marketing potential. Therefore, it is always advisable to use SEO products. On the other hand, content is also important in ensuring your customers’ satisfaction. Having mentioned that, the best quality content would literally be useless if there is no traffic to cater to.
